Dr. Ranette Halverson, professor of pc science at Midwestern State College, lately retired after 40 years.
Throughout her distinguished profession at MSU, Halverson was instrumental in creating the pc science main, taught over 700 CMPS majors, and acquired the College Award in 1992 and the Hardin Professor Award in 1998.
Ranette, who additionally served as chair of the MSU pc science division, helped direct the self-study for the SACSCOC accreditation in 1998-2002 and co-chaired the current College & Workers Capital Marketing campaign.
For the group she instituted the Math, Science & U Ladies Convention in 1998 and the North Texas Space Scholar Convention in 2015.
Her service, collegiality, and analysis are as boundless as her real love of MSU.
